Kentucky Snow!, an original Oil painting by Rebecca Jennings (Sunny)

"Kentucky Snow!"
8" x 10"
Oil on stretched canvas
The deer at our old home in Kentucky would come up near the big oak tree early in the mornings looking for acorns, then move on into the field near our neighbor's pond, which had been partially covered with ice. The deer seemed so tame and friendly... until we step outside.
The broom-sage in the back field gave off a lovely orange-ish glow in the early morning sunrise.

This painting has recently been Sold. If you would like to view more of my work, you can see it here at "Sunny's Fine Art Studio"

"On the Farm" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

On the Farm 3.5x5 watercolor on 140lb paper
 Sold
This is a little miniature painting I did of a wonderful Pennsylvania barn and farm. The bright sunshine shapes and colors are most interesting. I love to honor our farmers by showing the beauty they create in our landscapes. Happy to say this little painting was sold at Brath & Hughes Gallery recently.

"Morning Sunshine"and "Sun Struck" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Morning Sunshine" 8"x10" Acrylic on canvas board
I was happy to be able to paint with my friends from the SVPAP the last two Mondays. Thanks to Petra who was kind enough to share her wonderful property with us. I was drawn to the shapes the shadows made on the barn and the color. I liked having the flowers in partial shade in the foreground. This is part of Petra Wirth's barn and was painted plein air. Thank you Petra!
"Sun Struck" 8x10 Acrylic on a canvas panel
I wanted to capture the wonderful sun light that was highlighting the bright red bee balm that was in full bloom. As the sun kisses little areas of the grasses, tree leaves and shows us the stumps and rock hiding in the shadows. The curve of the tree just framed everything perfectly. There is a stream flowing behind the flowers. Very peaceful!

"Star Barn" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Star Barn" 10"x14" on 140lb Arches Paper

A while ago I took a visit to the star barn to see for myself why so many artist paint this barn. My husband and I were fortunate enough to land a private tour. How lucky the horses and cows were that lived there! What a beautiful building! The inside is like a church with the stars shinning light inside! My first painting dipicts the star from the outside.

I painted the front of the farm as a commission and found this back view interesting enough for another painting.

The snow was much wetter in our second storm,
causing snow to stick to the tree. But not for long
with the sun starting to shine.

2010 Winter Series #2 ~ by Andy Smith, watercolors

6"x4" Miniature Original Watercolor
SOLD

This is the same farm as yesterday and I
plan to paint several views. One of my
favorite things to see is when snow starts
to melt and grass shows through. I have no
idea what attracts me to that but I enjoy it.
