An Older work Re-visited, Original Oil Painting by Rebecca Jennings

"Energy Lake, #2"
11" x 14"
 Oil on Canvas panel

The original painting was done in 2012 and I had never been quite sure if it was finished or not. I decided to try adding more life to it, hence the boat with fisher persons and a bit more reflections in the water. I also softened the tree line at the top right and defined the geese flying across the lake a bit more. I am more content with it now. When my grand-daughter visiting from New Jersey saw it, she absolutely loved it, so it is going to her home as soon as it is dry and can be varnished.

My Favorite Things #1 - "Strings Attached", an Original oil painting by Rebecca Jennings (Sunny)

I am currently working on a series of "My Favorite Things", where memories of childhood days are the primary focus. Come along with me on my journey into the carefree days of a past, all-but-forgotten way of life.  Together we will reminisce and recreate happy times.

These  old skates hanging on a nail on the covered porch wall remind me of the kids of our little town meeting at Myers' pond to go skating several times during the winter. The bigger boys would shovel any new-fallen snow off the ice. Sometimes there would be a wood fire far back on the bank to warm our hands by. It was a regular meeting place for all the neighborhood, kids and adults alike.

Some of my paintings for sale. I also do commissions on a regular basis. You can see my other work at "Sunny's Fine Art Studio". Just click on the link.

grace by Kim Smith

Water is always a fun challenge. And shadows. The goose almost secondary, and simple in this painting. I took the photo that I worked from while on the Schuylkill River at the Dad Vail Regatta. The geese all seemed to barely notice all the hubbub of the regatta going on all around them. They certainly look peaceful and graceful.

Gettysburg Morn by Jane Albin

"Gettysburg Morn" by Jane Albin
5"x7" Original oil painting on canvas panel
A little painting from Gettysburg National Park.  This is from a photo I took last summer while plein air painting with a wonderful group of painters.

Below is the painting I created that morning.

Sunflowers in Northumberland County by Jane Albin

"Sunflowers in Northumberland County"

I am very anxious for the warmer weather to finally arrive.  It was snowing when I started this little painting.
