I have an Ibizan hound named Halen- this is a portrait of his mother. The breed originated in the Balearic Island of Ibiza and were used to hunt rabbits.

I met this guy on a farmette in Florida where the owners were celebrating their 100th year anniversary of operating a farmer's market. The two older Peterson brothers said their grandfather started the business and now they continue to sell fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs and milk along with souvenirs and other novelties. The animals were in pens arranged as a petty zoo atmosphere. The roosters seemed very happy with all their hens and this one liked looking at my camera. Just had to paint him.

This time of year I'm busy working on my hand painted ornament series so I decided to paint a few miniatures.  This is a sweet little lamb I had pleasure of meeting at the Dickinson Farm. He/she was not very old and had these wonderful big pink ears! Hope you enjoy this one!

In my attempt to paint larger, I created this head study of a horse that belongs to a Civil War re-enactor. I enjoyed the new size and had to decide when to stop.
