"Florida Rooster" Acrylic Painting by Charlotte Yealey

4x6
Acrylic
I met this guy on a farmette in Florida where the owners were celebrating their 100th year anniversary of operating a farmer's market. The two older Peterson brothers said their grandfather started the business and now they continue to sell fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs and milk along with souvenirs and other novelties. The animals were in pens arranged as a petty zoo atmosphere. The roosters seemed very happy with all their hens and this one liked looking at my camera. Just had to paint him.

"Morning Rooster" Oil Painting by Charlotte Yealey

12x12
Oil
I love painting roosters! It reminds me when I was young and still lived on our farm.
Even though they woke me up at the crack of dawn, the rooster is a beautiful bird.

Struttin' Your Stuff - Acrylic Abstract Textured Rooster Painting by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Pat Koscienski

Struttin' Your Stuff
16" x 20"
Mixed Media
This painting was done using gel medium to build up texture and then using ink and acrylic paints to get the bold colors. It will be 1 of 26 paintings that I will be exhibiting at the Charley Krone Gallery on the 2nd floor of the New Cumberland Library, 1 Benjamin Plaza, New Cumberland, Pa. during the month of July. I thought it would be nice to gather paintings of "Animals, Birds, & Butterflies" and exhibit them as theme, whether the animal, bird, or butterfly be the main subject of the painting or part of the painting. If in the area stop by to visit. If you can't make it, stay tuned for more posts of paintings that I have in the exhibit. If you have any questions, or wish to purchase, contact Pat at patsfineart@hotmail.com. If you wish to see more of my works, both representational and abstract, visit by blogspot or website at:
