Snow Moon, Original Oil Painting by Rebecca Jennings (Sunny)

Have you heard of the "snow moon"? I hadn't until this year. It is the full moon the first part of February. My daughter took this photo from her upstairs window about 4 am. As I am traveling, I of course missed the beautiful scene, but not the deep snow that has come since then!

For me "A Painting A Day" means literally starting
and finishing a miniature painting in a day - usually
4 to 5 days a week.    I  joined the group of daily painters
and started my blog 6 years ago.  I  must say
I am still not tired of it!  After my miniature is finished
I work on my larger paintings.

"Winter Sunshine" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

I just couldn't help myself. Not that I'm pushing winter, but I just loved the way the sun dances across the snow. I really like looking into the sun. Sometimes you get amazing results! The silhouettes of the trees bathing in the warm sunlight gives real texture and interest to this painting.

My 72 X 48" canvas is next up for some serious work ... I focused on two smaller pieces during the past few days.
