 Here is a little painting to brighten things up on this rainy Sunday! You can see the size of the sea turtle hatchling compared to the sand dollar and the shell. These tiny little creatures really have their work cut out for them as they head to sea.

"By the Sea" 10"x15" watercolor on 140lb Arches paper

By the sea was inspired by a place in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina called Shem's Creek. Wonderful small inlet where fishing boats go in and out and the birds and dolphins as well as people just love it. What caught my eye was the bright building and the unusual blue sailboat and of coarse the pelican and seagulls!
