Watercolor Belly Dancers WIP by Kathy Michels

I am continuing my work on my watercolor belly dancer painting. The photo shows half of the painting. The full piece has two belly dancers. The dancers were dressed in goth instead of the brilliant color costumes I had anticipated. So I decided to focus on the knives and bellies and took a more artistic approach to the painting. It has been a challange and been fun dealing with the skin tones, lace, feathers, fake flowers, etc.

OK...I have been following your progress on this painting, and wondered if you decided to crop out the second dancer. I am glad to know that she is still there! This is so amazing - and your handling of all of the various textures even more so!
