"Water Tower at Kings Gap" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Water Tower at kings Gap" 9"x12" Watercolor on Arches 140lb paper

This is my first painting with my friends from Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters. It was a perfect day in the park. The acorns were falling, the bees and butterflies were busy and the frogs were in good humor. I chose the unusual water tower as my subject. This created a good composition and the colors shimmered in the sunlight.

Debra, it really is an unusual structure; I'm glad you chose it. It looks sort of like some magical tower hidden in the woods, and your soft treatment adds to the storybook quality. I doubt many water towers get this beautiful treatment!

Deb, I can honestly say that this is one of the very best paintings I have seen of the water tower at Kings Gap. Please display it during the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters exhibit during the Garden Harvest Festival this October! I think someone will grab this right up!!!

An absolutely delightful piece, completely redolent of your description of the day. I love unusual structures such as this. Is the tower on the roof or set behind the brick building?

Deb - so happy you will be showing at the King's Gap Exhibit this year. I know your love of the park.

AutumnLeaves...The tower sets on top of a brick round structure. Very unusual.
