Egg-ceptional Eggplants

Sophie said, “Let’s do a painting today

We’ll use some veggies

With plenty to say

There at the groc’ry store

Dark and demure

Eggplants so purple

Their beauty secure...

Yes, let’s buy them

Not to fry them

But to show the world

Their outspoken beauty

It’s really our duty

To capture their deep.....

Dark sheen!

I love the shapes and deep colors of eggplants--their smooth, shiny skins pick up the color of whatever sits next to them--they are an excellent subject for still life compositions--love yours and love its stem and cap.

I love this, especially the little curl at the end of the stem! Fantastic, Bertie.

Eggsuisite Eggplant. Love the reflections and the way your stem and cap hug the top of the eggplant.
