"Sea Foam" by Linda Young
From a photo reference of sunlight on waves; as I painted this, I remembered hearing the hiss of the wind and waves as they crashed to the shore. I painted with many layers of masking to get the depth and see-through waves; I really like the colors in this one. This is one of several wave paintings that will be shown at the Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show on August 21, 22. Stop by booth E#3 to check out what I have to offer.

A marvelous visual image for the design creed Less Is More. Your ability to work with subtle color bleeds and sparkling page whites is deft and conveys the transparency of the water as well as the rolling power of the waves. Just a beautiful piece!

I feel the ocean tides rushing at me as i view this work..just as I hear the roar of the ocean when I listen to any of my vast collection of conch shells.......I love it!
