Lightship Chesapeake ~ Inner Harbor, MD ~ Andy Smith, watercolor

6"x4" Original Watercolor
SOLD

The Lightship Chesapeake...
Another painting from our weekend trip to
Inner Harbor. I am not a boat painter and
have a limited knowledge about boats but I
could not miss these reflections. The late
afternoon sun created this wonderful
reflection in the water that I just had to paint.

Reflections are enticing and a challenge to paint--I have seen work where the reflections were as strongly painted as the actual object reflected--Yours move and blend in with the water--Eye-catching lettering and colors, too.

I enjoy seeing some of your different paintings, like this one and the portraits that you had. This one has such a great 'pop' of color coming off it, but still has your signature softness that I love so much.

Another winner.
