Rainy days are my favorite painting days! What better way to think warmer weather than to paint natures beauty. Here are a couple of Spicebush Swallowtail butterflies I met on a painting adventure in a friends garden here in PA. MAGNIFICENT MONARCH An Original Pastel Painting by Clare Klaum

I created this painting for the "Hello, Yellow" Member show at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center & Gallery (CALC) in Carlisle.  It was a challenge, but I used  my Ott Light with a magnifier for the detail.  This painting is 10 1/2" x 10  1/2"  (Image size) on UArt Sanded Paper. It is double matted and framed with spacers and glass.  
                  
            The opening reception for this show is Friday, February 12 from 6:30 to 8PM.
               The "Hello, Yellow"  show will run from February 12 to March 12.
