"Grey Catbird" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Grey Catbird" 7" x10" Watercolor
I've been working on this painting for a little while. I wanted to paint a catbird because we have some very sassy ones in our yard. I just think they are awesome birds and they don't get painted enough. I was lucky to get a good photo reference and I just had to place him or her in a pleasant setting. Hope you enjoy this one.

Oh, I LIKE this! I have a catbird that has been living just out back of my house all summer long. Your composition is beautifully country.

I like catbirds and I did a watercolor of one years ago that was in my garden all the time. Have not seen any lately-don't know what I am doing different.

I remember this type of watering can at my old house. Brings back memories of wonderful summers there.
