"Early Spring from River's Edge"
7"x5" Watercolor on 140#Arches
This is from a photo I took last Spring. The green sprouts were trying to find the light. It was a cold overcast morning. This is the Market Street bridge crossing the west branch of the Susquehanna River at Lewisburg.

Hi Jane - welcome to the DPP blog! This is a wonderful painting of the Susquehanna. You've achieved a nice depth that pulls the viewer right into the scene.
Beautiful style with watercolor, Jane! Your tones are nice and rich.
Welcome to the group! Such a beautiful peaceful painting!
So happy you have joined the Daily Painter's Jane. It was nice meeting you at Plein Air Camp Hill this summer and I look forward to seeing posts of your work. This lovely painting of the river looks so much like the bridges across the Susquehanna near Harrisburg.
Welcome!
I love this painting Jane. It is wonderful to see paintings from this part of the Susquehanna. So happy you are part of the group.
