Watercolor in progress, Dianne Lorden

Still taking a break from pastel, I've been working from one of the photos I took earlier in the summer at the Old Gettysburg Country Club land that is now part of the Gettysburg National Military Park. The place has an amazing feeling to it. So, here's an unfinished watercolor of a view of a lane along the water - and the water will be going away, as the pond is man made and the Park Service is continuing to return its property to the 1863 appearance. To view my artwork, just Google: South Mountain Sketchbook.

This is so pretty Dianne. How wonderful that you are able to capture this serene scene before that view is gone forever!

This is so interesting to me. My cousin and her family lived for decades on and belonged to that golf course in Gettysburg. This looks so different. I will have to return to see the charmng site you painted--
