Licks, Whips and Brassy Tricks Watercolors by Bertie Brown - Art is Instrumental

Licks, Whips and Brassy Tricks

original musical motif watercolor w/trumpet,trombone: 11" x 14"

Sophie Says

I want a quick

lollipop lick

while I ponder a bit

over licorice whips

it’s too bad, you know

that trumpets and ‘bones

can’t partake of these

and still play with ease!

Beautiful painting, Bertie. Poetry for me is something I cannot do. In relation to the time it takes you to do the painting, how much time does it take you to write the poem? Twice as long? Half as long?

After I'm finished with the painting, I put it on an easel beside my computer and compose a poem...I really don't know how long it takes, but I do know that some poems, like paintings, are better than others!
