"Beach Day" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Beach Day" 18"x28" on 300lb Arches Paper

This is a larger scale painting I developed from my reference pictures of many trips to the Atlantic Coast. I love this one chair just peacefully basking in the sunlight and the wonderful shadow it cast. I incorporated different colors reflecting off the sand and the wonderful beached seashells. The footprints lead you out onto the sun drenched horizon where seagulls are playing.

Debra, this is a very dramatic beach painting. I really like the different colors you incorporated into the sand. The chair is perfect and the footprints leads the viewer right into the water. Very well done.

Beautiful color in that sand. That empty chair is begging for a visitor. A place of serenity.

Pat said it perfectly. I have visited this several times since you posted it, Deb. It is a very 'zen' painting.
