Wagner's Violin Watercolor Still Life with Violin/Bust by Daily Painter Bertie Brown - Art is Instrumental

Wagner's Violin

original watercolor still life with violin, bust: 22" x 30"

is Wagner’s violin

tuned to play his Lohengrin

could that horn a bit too small

belt out Siegfried’s famous call?

and did Wagner fret or worry

that his music wouldn’t curry

to his benefactors’ whims

casting poverty on him?

heavens no

I don’t think so

as his storied life does show

Wow, what an amazing amount of careful work! This sure proves the popularity of mixing patterns in a similar palette! It's a delicious painting. Wish I owned that cloth.
