oil on panel
7"x 7"
The weather is dark and stormy, and it was hard to get a photo without
glare. I will retake pictures soon, but this is pretty accurate
color-wise. As for the painting, for some reason I found this
devilishly difficult to pull off but now I'm happy with it. This is my
lovely daughter, Julia.

YOUR WORK "TAKES MY BREATH AWAY"--SUCH A MARVELOUS MOMENT TO CAPTURE AND WHAT A WARM "PENSIVE" COLOR PALETTE-LOVE THE HAND HOLDING THE CUP AND THE HAIR-SO CASUAL AND YOUTHFUL--BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER-BEAUTIFUL PAINTING
agreed...I love the high and low-lights and the subdued color choices..an intense and emotional painting...
Very strong work!..
Your paintings are amazing. You make it look easy with your strokes but I know what you mean when you think it is just not happening until you look at it finished.
I love your work Taryn!
Your work is exceptional, Taryn. This is beautifully painted.
Saw this on your blog and shared it with others.
You are all so kind! Thank you so much. This was difficult and it is especially nice to get positive feedback.
Love this piece. You've captured this pensive moment so well.
