Among The Trees by Deborah Nell

Among The Trees by Deborah Nell
11"x16" Watermedia on Yupo paper
Today is such a beautiful day that I decided to try and paint plein air. I normally paint from my imagination so this was a big stretch for me. I painted some trees on our property. My hat is off to all of you who paint plein air. It is not easy, as I knew it would not be. I had fun painting and may try it again sometime.

Deborah, the colors are really nice/ very pleasing and I can see the shadows too. Keep at the plein air; I hated it at first because it was so difficult because I tried to make it like realism. Claire really helped me understand it and I am still learning but; I'm just the opposite now-- I can't get enough of it!

Love that cool color scheme and it brings me right into the trees!

Thank you for the encouragement. I believe I will keep at it.

Deborah, you better be careful - plein air painting can really be addictive! I think this is beautiful - you captured that moment in time and nature. Nicely done!
