Study... yes, I wanted keep it simple. But the other reason - support. This one was two-stage painting on Ampersand Claybord. i started in watercolor pencil. then turned it into the wash (just to see how it will look like). then of course painted it with oil and because Claybord is doesn't have the best adhesion to oil based paints did it pretty loose and wet o wet. i sort of like it. has nice decorative feeling
