Copse of Trees, early Spring - mixed media by Susan Gray

The overhanging edge of the Copse is intimate with the earth while I kept the left portion intimate with the sky. Done in watercolor and Prismacolor pencils. Begun en plein air at Gettysburg National Battlefield Park. It's size is 12x16, 16x20 framed.

Susan, this is beautiful. I actually thought this was a Bertie Brown piece until I scrolled down to see your name.

Just commented on this beautiful painting on the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters blog - this has such a beautiful, ethereal quality to it, Sue. Gorgeous work.
