oil on board

Yesterday I went shopping for still life supplies, which is always fun- an Asian market, a fabric store and three thrift shops. I'd like to begin to use more color, and these pretty Chinese eggplants seemed a perfect way to start.

And what glorious color it is! Great painting, Taryn.
Love the eggplants, but crazy about your bowls.
Another awesome post Taryn. Love your use of color.
The market can be a terrific source of inspiration. Well done Taryn.
Love the red violet against the blue green. I once took a workshop with Wolf Kahn who expressed that color could be the idea for painting. This is a great example of that.
