"Chincoteague Pony" Acrylic Painting by Charlotte Yealey

12x16
Acrylic
Years ago while vacationing in Ocean City Maryland we drove to Assateague Island looking for the feral ponies. We stopped along the road to watch a pony graze along the road side but did not realize from behind our car came several ponies walking along side the road. It was a stallion with his mares and they passed right next to our car. What a great photo opportunity. This painting is of one of the mares.

Charlotte--This is a stunning image--love the cropped head and neck--such excellent detail and beautiful understated background.

What a wonderful painting! Yes, the composition seems somehow perfect, and the clarity!
