After doing several large, major compositions I decided to take a break the last couple of days and experiment. I normally use cold press for all my watercolors but decided to use hot press and work on a looser background. This one is still in progress as I am detailing and smoothing the back and neck. It has been fun. I took this photo in Florida a couple of years ago at the Silver Springs attraction. They have a little bridge that is right above these guys where you can get some wonderful angles.

That's interesting. Like the color combinations.
I was told when I was in Florida that the more shrimp they eat, the darker pink they are. I love painting flamingos.Great painting!
