Is it Summer Yet??? by Christine Marx

I just had to post this seashell summer-type painting, in hopes that the weather gods will see it and take pity on us here in Pennsylvania and send some springtime our way! I could not believe I woke up to yet another blanket of snow! Now, there are some painters who LOVE winter time, and love painting winter scenes and I can truly appreciate that. I am a transplant from California who thought the coldest weather here was last winter. Hmmmm. I think this winter seemed to last a little longer, and it doesn't seem to be done yet.

So here is a little touch of summer for you all, to hold you over to the beautiful springtime and summer that will be here soon.

For more information on my paintings or to view my blog go to christinemarxoriginals.com.

Christine--I know the feeling--just returned from 2 months in warm, sunny FLA--I woke up to sleet pounding on the window--we thought we would escape winter--WRONG--thank you for posting your beautiful, cheery painting.

This is beautiful, and makes me long for Summer. We just had a hail storm that covered the driveway with ice pellets...all accompanied by thunder and lightning - what a show!

Claire,

It sounds like a beautiful show of nature (less the ice pellets!)

Wonderful painting Christine!
Spring will be here before you know it...then we will all be complaining that it is too hot.

Thank you Ron and L! And Julie, I was thinking all my griping about the cold will take away my right to complain about the heat this summer. LOL. That's okay....please bring on summer!!
