'Watercolor Study of an Arctic Char (Salvelinus alpinus)'

Transparent Watercolor on Crescent Mat Board
Double Matted on Identical Museum Quality Mat Board
Image Size: 9" x 4.5". Matted Size: 14' x 11".
non-professional photograph

Another in my series of North American Species of the Trout Family.
While the Arctic Char is both a freshwater and ocean fish,
the inland fish is also called the Quebec Red Trout, which I prefer.

Your fish paintings are beautiful. It makes me realize that fish have more color to them than what you see when you see them in the water.
