This piece was completed as part of the Daily Paintworks Challenge which is a web based initiative to motivate daily painters to .... you got it!... paint daily. This was the first of I hope many. The website states there will be one photo posted a week. This weeks challenge is interesting.. find an object to paint, set your timer for 10 minutes then paint. Stop when the timer goes off... repeat 10 times..... Check it out at:

This was so fun and rewarding to complete in a day. I especially enjoyed seeing the other artist's approach in style and composition. The challenge is open to all artists so I "Challenge" the Daily Painters of Pennsylvania to give it a try! Hope to see you in the next challenge!

Very nice painting Susie. It's so much fun to complete a painting in one sitting!
I like this interpretation. I will be joining the challenge hopefully next week since I miss the DSFDF one. And you are right. It is nice to see the many ways artists approach different subjects.
I hope to join the challenge also--absolutly love the rich color in this one.
