Dog portrait in watercolor by Linda Young

"Mr. Bean"
9" x 11-1/4" Watercolor painting
by Linda Young

This is a commissioned portrait of a beagle named "Mr. Bean" who got his name from the tiny spot on the top of his head that looked like a little bean.  The owner of this dog asked me to do this painting for him to give to his wife for a Christmas present.  This past summer, Mr. Bean had reached a very nice old age and is no longer with them today.  In many of their reference photos of Mr. Bean, the family had smiles on their faces as they socialized, touched and held him. I hope the painting of Mr. Bean will bring happy memories for them in the future.

This is wonderful. I love the depth of his eyes. I am sure the owners will treasure this.

Thank you Claire, Maria and Charlotte. I really liked how this little guy's eyes turned out too. Charlotte, this is the one I was talking to you about at Gallerie 13 the people used flash to take his picture and all there was was bright green dots!
