Waves at Sand Beach by Linda Young, artist

6-3/4" x 10-1/2" Watercolor
Can be seen at Mt. Gretna
available
O, the sea draws me nigh, be it dawn or when the moon is high.
Feet on sand, waves rush in and slowly they sink in.
Wind and mist on my face, sunlight warms this very place;
I think I'm near Heaven ... and I am.

wow - wish I was swimming in those waves. This piece is full of interest and keeps my eye looking around the waves.

The colors in this are especially appealing to the eye, Linda. Sand Beach is a beautiful place, and you portrayed it perfectly.

Thank you! I just love Maine; I hope to get back up there in the next year.

This past winter we stayed right on the Atlantic Ocean in Florida-the first time I had ever stayed that close and that long on the ocean. I was mesmerized, hypnotized by those waves-I took countless photos and did several paintings--I agree it is like being in Heaven--great wave movement--I can feel and hear the waves right now.
