"Under Rusty Belly's" by Dianne Lorden

Hello everyone. I just returned from a retreat in the Poconos, feeling mostly refreshed. I had started this one before I left (from a picture I took in Florida in June) and find now that I'm in a completely different frame of mind. That's the way it goes, I guess! I made myself "wrastle" it into some form of completion. It's Rembrandt pastels on brick red art board.
By the way, I drove through glorious rain during my trip, but apparently very little fell here in Gettysburg, which has been way too dry. So, my fingers are crossed for a shower or two!

If I am interpreting this correctly, this young man is getting written up for some illegal fishing...my late father-in-law was a PA Fish Warden for 48 years, and the stories he had to tell. The places people try to hide their ill-gotten fish is beyond comical!
Of course, I have probably been influenced by all of his stories, and this poor guy is just selling his catch for the day!

I love this, Dianne!

That's too funny. I actually think the guy with the pad was just tallying things up. They were probably together, and there were other people also at work with the fish. But the No Fishing sign was really right there ... must've been for someone else!!
