SUNNY FIELD by Julie Riker

11x14
oil on canvas
It seems we have a theme going with this group. I am finding this blog site to be extremely motivating. After viewing all the other sunflower paintings I actually turned off the computer and finished mine.
I love seeing different interpretations of the same subject or view. We all have our own styles and our own way of seeing things.

Thanks for your comment Julie--truth is I didn't realize my horizon was sloping, but it seems to work okay--your painting is amazing--great movement and interest across the picture plane, great poses for the posies and beautiful background.

This is just flat-out beautiful, Julie. The colors are so harmonious, and the design and flow of the whole piece really works wonderfully.
Love this!

This is a wonderful painting. I totally agree that the inspiration here is awesome. It is great to be able to see the same subject painted in so many different ways with various mediums. It is just amazing. After seeing all the gorgeous flowers I am wanting to go paint some and bring the springtime in my home for the winter to come.
