Com-posers Series Impressionistic Watercolor Floral/ Sunflowers by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Bertie Brown

Com-posers

original watercolor floral/sunflowers: 14"w x 11"h

Good Vibrations

I love the way

on a late August day

the sun reaches down

to gather around

my sunflower girls

with their golden yellow curls

and their skirts made of leaves

shimmering in the breeze...

The birds of the air

and the insects working there

create a vibration

a vibrato celebration

as they all harmonize

their praise to the skies...

I’m thankful just to be

by this undulating sea

and honored so to hear

this music of the spheres

Bertie, tell me how your theme name of Com-posers originated. I see it in your blogs and wondered.
Love the sunflowers.

As a former professional musician, I like to use musical terms in titles or musical themes in my paintings...when I first experienced the only break-through I've ever had in painting, I was trying to paint some sunflowers...after many throw-aways, something magical happened...anyway, my first 'successful' sunflower work was named "Com-poser" because we always called flowers 'poseys', and the sunflower was 'posing'...so Com-poser became the name that combined my two creative selfs!...does that make any sense?? combining 2 arts is also why my business cards say :"Art Is Instrumental"

Very much so; thanks for explaining it to me. I like the business card tag line too.
