Three apples by Pennsylvania watercolor artist Linda Young

6" x 4"
Watercolor
Linda Young watercolors

Three little apples sitting on the sill
one says "take a bite"
try if you will.

Three little apples sitting in the sun
all say "it's gettin' hot"
wish we could run.

Not a poet and I know it; but I thought I'd try anyway.
These apples have been sitting on my countertop just beggin me to paint them in the basket they were sitting in; but my inspiration was to move them to the window sill for better light.

Nicely done. Isn't it wonderful to find subject material all around us. It makes us stop and appreciate their simple beauty. Nice poem!

Thank you. Yes, the summer time gives us so much to paint and the digital cameras help us preserve their images until we can accomplish it.

Linda, I love all the reflections of light and color - these are well done.
