Water lily a watercolor painting by Linda Young Pennsylvania artist

6" x 4"

This is a lily that was blooming this morning along with several other colors. I will be painting the other colors within the next few days providing the current heat wave we are having doesn't do them in before I get to paint them. I have a pond with red comets and shebunkin goldfish in it.

It is beautiful, Linda. We had a yellow one that went down away, then returned, I wasn't sure if it was the sun that caused it to reappear. Our hyacinths are in bloom now...they are also so short lived.

Thank you both. For some reason, I can't get any hyacinths to grow on our pond. I think it's because it only gets a half day of direct sun; do you know?

Thank you; this little lily looks almost shy to me. Like, it's hiding behind it's "momma"'s lily pad skirt. (Oh well, imagination is good)
