"Water Lily" by Tatiana Myers. Oil Pastel.
16 x 20" Masonite.

Finished my latest project in Oil Pastel. This is a biggest painting I have done so far.
I'm planning to have it included in a few local exhibitions during 2010 show season.

it will be show, but not on juried competition, since reference photo is from photo library of WetCanvas (web site for artists). Those photos could be used for paintings, galleries and art show. However for juried shows art work has to be original, what is mean you do everything from scratch, and if you have reference picture, it has to be yours too. Therefore this one will be for group shows, not for juried ones.

You will see it, I need to finish framing first. My glass is waiting for me in Allentown. I usually don't have anything in this size, so had to place a special order.

As soon I'll make it Allentown to pick up my glass, I'm going to frame it. I have a lovely frame for this flower...Honestly, I have TWO frames, therefore it will be the second painting. I'm only not sure yet painting of what.

Your water lily is exceptional, Tatiana. The rich colors of the inner petals provide such an interesting contrast to the striped ones.
