Catching a scent, this grizzly is a mass offur caught in the golden afternoon rays. I captured this image on my August 2010 Yellowstone trip and have been doing a rash of bear paintings since. It's amazing how tough these beasts can be and how tender they are at distance. I saw 11 grizzly on the trip. I am most thankful for those sightings.
