A trip on the Pennsylvania Turnpike always offers me scores of beautiful landscape opportunities. While my husband drove on route to Philadelphia and I shot picture after picture through the closed window. I hardly ever capture the shot I want, my reactions are too slow, but I got a couple I liked enough to paint. This was the shady side of a barn up a hill, with the morning light on the left. I really liked the space around the building and the single leafless tree silhouetted in front of it.

Lovely Work.
You've captured the mood perfectly. Very nice painting
Thank you, Sue-You are so thoughtful, always offering your comments on my work and the work of many of the bloggers.
I often see things I want to paint while driving but too quickly they are behind me. This is striking!
