ROCKVILLE BRIDGE OVER FRONT STREET By Cecelia Lyden

oil
11x14

Before I start my description of the above scene, I want to thank DPP and the SVPAP artists for the gifts and the words of sympathy for the loss of our son. The support and comfort we are receiving from family and friends is so helpful. Being able to resume painting is also a godsend. I have said this before; we are so lucky to have art in our lives. It can consume our thoughts and take our minds off sad things for a while.

I started this painting a few weeks ago and just finished today. I painted it from a photo I took while driving on Front Street in Harrisburg. I loved the dark clouds and the sun's light shining on the tops of the train cars, as well as the road winding through the underpass.

This is a recognizable site, Cecelia, and well painted. I really like the way the sky and road lead us through and over the bridge.

This is a beautiful painting. The greens and blues sing together.
