that trusty old ass
tramps over the grass
as golden sun rays
dance through these cool days
I’m happy it shines
on your plants and mine
though we’re all confined
by our northeast clime
this season’s not bad
I hasten to add
but we both agree
that donkey and me
we’ll miss these cool temps
as winter comes next....
