Pale Wings by Dianne Lorden

Our road trip has ended and, with a lot of the excitement we've been anticipating behind us now (wedding, vacation, etc.) I'm ready to welcome September. This visitor to my modest bed of annuals had such delicate wings, I wanted to try them out with watercolors; so many pretty shades of white! The flower is a zinnia.
My artwork can be seen at South Mountain Sketchbook.

The first thing that came to mind when I looked at your painting was how delicate the butterfly wings appear. Then I read your post... Nice job!
