Untitled Lilies, Oil pastel in progress by Tatiana Myers.


Just a fragment of latest painting I'm working on... I wanted to take this subject for a while, but wasn't sure how exactly I want to do it... So finally I decided to give a try to my white lilies and going to do those in Oil Pastel with extensive under-painting in gouache. Right now for a couple of days I still working on that under-painting and so far it is going the way I want it to go. I hope to see my watercolor part finished soon and then switch to my beloved Oil Pastels. If everything goes right, this is going to be my entry to the

You do amazing work with oil pastels! I can't figure them out.

Thank You, Dianne! The only secret to Oil Pastels - You have to use right tools. And practice, of course. First time I tried it, I wasn't sure what I can do with it either... took a lot of reading and plenty of practicing.
