Karen's Poppies - oil on board 11 x 14

This is a flower farm in Northern California, outside of Pescadero. The farm belongs to my sister in law Karen's uncle. My brother in law posted the picture on facebook and I knew I had to paint it (after getting his permission.)  I've done it a few times in different palettes and I think I'll do it a few more. I am firm believer in painting challenging paintings a few times. You learn something new each time and it's fascinating to me to see the evolution.
