Another "French" inspired motif. This time - with no lavender, however with some poppies.
Home-made surface (Colourfix heavily brushed on factory board).
I tried oil wash for underpainting and like the result.
Look like this surface is working for me well and I'm going to do more paintings
with European scenery just in the same style...

I learned it from two of my great teachers - Johannes Vloothuis with whom I'm studying for a wile and of course - Richard McKinley with whom I'm taking my second advanced-level workshop this summer and very much looking forward to it... I'm very thankful to those two gentlemen for all I have learned... Any painting could be downgraded to combination of simple value shapes... very cool concept and always makes things work.
