This painting is done on 14x11 textured stretched canvas. Multiple acrylic glazes (I stopped counting after 7!) and washes add depth. For the robin egg I used egg shell, gel and gloss medium. I tried to use string gel for the nest, but that was a fiasco so I used gel instead! Spring is in the air! Visit my BLOG:

Love this, Donna! I'm currently struggling with finding a direction on a mixed media piece I'm trying to do, so seeing this was really refreshing.
