""Orion"Contemporary Abstract Painting By Donna Holdsworth

This painting is done on 14x11 textured stretched canvas.  It morphed so many times I can't even begin to explain.  After many layers of acrylics, glazes, gels and collage it ended up here!  It reminded me of a constellation so I named it Orion. I named the moths after Orions two brightest stars:  Rigal and Betelgeuse (don't say that 3 times)!!  :)  Visit my BLOG:  Donna Holdsworth Contemporary Art.  Thank you!

Orion is the first constellation I look for to 'place' myself in the sky - especially those three bright stars in his belt. I really like your use of dragonflies for the two brightest starts of this constellation.
