Woodwinds at Rest Watercolor Still Life by Bertie Brown - Art is Instrumental

Woodwinds at Rest

original watercolor musical motif still life: 18" x 22"

Well

the music said “rest”

so the woodwinds obeyed

they rested their best

and quietly laid

their reeds

and their keys

right down

with no frown

then I got my stuff

my paint pan and brush

turned on my i-tunes

and worked until dusk

now when I was done

I took just one quick

lollipop lick

then settled to munch

a black licorice whip!

A big thank you to all...I thought french horns were hard to draw and paint...but these guys are just as hard ...They are all mine..but many of them are really just good posers...beat up and beyond repair, given to me by music teachers and instrument repairman....and they look a lot worse 'in person' than they do in my work...also, all 3 of my boys played various instruments , so that really started my collection....I need a Mozart Bust...anyone have one I could borrow or buy??
