"Shelter From The Storm" Contemporary Collage Painting By Donna Holdsworth

This painting is done on 11x14 textured stretched canvas.   I created the church from paper made from  National Geographic pages treated with CitraSolv.  Some truly amazing results can be achieved with this technique!  I drew the man in charcoal, then painted him with acrylic and collaged him into the painting.  I then applied multiple acrylic glazed to create rich color and depth that I am unable to capture with my camera.  BLOG:  Donna Holdsworth Contemporary Art.  Thank you!

Donna, beautiful painting. I really like the composition, depth, and beautiful color and texture you have in this painting. It evokes a lot of emotion, also.

This all works together so beautifully, Donna - and has a wonderfully subtle power.
