Painting at Two Mile House McClain Celtic Festival - Linda Young

Ralph Hocker and Johanna Monighan-Schaefer
A cloudy and rain-threatening day at Two Mile House; but the day remained balmy with no rain at all.  Here's just two photos of SVPAP painters.
Linda Young

I arrived at 8:30 in the morning to begin painting and stayed until two in the afternoon when I had to leave for West Virginia.  I found the questions and conversations by both young and older people interesting; but it did make it difficult to keep focused.

I didn't get this painting finished during the time I was there so it's still a work in progress.  I really did enjoy talking art to the children as they came up to me to ask questions.

I directed the inquisitive people to the hallway inside the Two Mile House to look at our groups paintings currently displayed there.

You're welcome Mary Beth. Thank you Autumn. I'm glad it didn't rain.

I was so aggravated that my broken water pipe in the basement kept me from being able to join you and the other artists there at Two Mile House!
I really like your view of the grape arbor - those dusky, purple
grapes were exceptional this year.

Tasty too! The attendees snuck some when they didn't think I saw them!
