Water Music Watercolor Still Life by Daily Painter Bertie Brown - Art is Instrumental

Water Music

original watercolor still life w/shells, bottles: 22" x 22"

is a still life

with bright colors

fabric folds, sea shells, sand dollars

blue-green bottles, purple flower

starfish, goldfish and some others

still a still life when there’s more life

in the painting

(do you hear those waves debating?)

than some feinting

static work

where there are no artsy quirks

I like the way the folds in the cloth make me think of ocean waves that embrace all of these lovely items, Bertie. Makes me want to be down by the sea...

Again, such a fun image with the dancing fish in the float and the movement around the painting. Such a wonderful summer beach feel.

The cool colors are refreshing to see on such a hot day.

Thanks, Claire... that was just what I wanted to achieve with that linen fabric!
